We like cheese. A lot.

A few weeks ago I was looking through a cookbook for inspiration. It's a 1920s gem called "Anyone Can Bake" (reminds me of a movie about a rat I once saw) and I came across a recipe for cream puffs. I was inspired to experiment with the form for dinner. So I got some cream cheese and mixed it up with some pressed garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, dried basil (I would've used fresh if it wasn't such a rare find in these parts), and some parmesan cheese and stuffed it in some cream puff shells. It was really easy and simple, but also rather tasty and I was pretty proud of myself.

Last week we had a Super Bowl party (minus the football game) and made Buffalo wings for the first time. We had lots of Buffalo sauce leftover so Micah had the brilliant idea to make a Buffalo wing pizza with it. Brilliant. It'll probably be the death of us, what with the cup of butter and the pound of mozzarella and the blue cheese dressing drizzled on top, but it was totally worth it.

And Simon, well, he's been getting into the "delicious but not entirely balanced meal" action as well. Yum.

Nice. You're going to have to pass on both recipes. And is that a block of cheese that Simon apparently gnawed on?

Yep Sar, Simon bit the cheese. I said he could have some when we got home and he made a beeline for the fridge while Micah and I changed our clothes.

Yummy creations! My mom used to make cream puffs all the time. I've never done it since she always filled them with pudding or sweet cream cheese type stuff and my family (sans me) doesn't like either. Now I'll have to see what I can innovate! Thanks!
